We're proud to be the home of the UK's largest range of New Zealand premium wines, including Waitaki Braids, the vineyard co-owned by Peter Gordon and Michael McGrath, along with award-winning winemaker Michelle Richardson and Steve Cozens.

Winemakers Dinners
Our Winemakers Dinners are held in The Providores first floor dining room. They're a great opportunity to sample New Zealand wine, meet the producers, and of course enjoy menus expertly matched by Executive Chef Peter Gordon and Head Chef Cristian Hossack.

2011 Greywacke, Sauvignon Blanc, Rapaura, Woodbourne and Renwick, Marlborough
Kevin Judd was the winemaker responsible for 25 years of award winning vintages at world renowned Cloudy Bay vineyard. Greywacke is his own label, launched in October 2009. Delicate tropical fruit concentration in an elegant and superbly balanced wine 35.00

2008 Seresin Estate, Chardonnay, Reserve, Omaka Valley, Marlborough
Buttered toast and nutty mouth-filling flavours with a slightly honeyed richness, this is a big wonderful wine 45.00

2009 Hans, Viognier, Wairau Valley, Marlborough
Full bodied and richly textured with a good backbone of acidity. Heady aromas and flavours of apricot, peach and tropical flower 51.00

2010 Waitaki Braids, Riesling, Waitaki Valley, North Otago
This wine has a lovely effervescence on the tongue, fresh floral and lime aromas, up-front vibrancy and assertive acidity – held in balance with wonderful fruity sweetness. Waitaki Braids vineyard is jointly owned by The Providores’ Peter Gordon and Michael McGrath, along with winemaker Michelle Richardson (we also list her eponymous Richardson label wines) and Steven Cozens 35.00

2009 Te Whare Ra, Gewürztraminer, Renwick, Marlborough
The oldest vines in Marlborough, give this subtle gewürztraminer complexity and depth. Honeysuckle and a spiced palate bring a lively finish 43.00

2010 Forrest Estate, Semillon, ‘The Doctors’, Wairau Valley, Marlborough
Aromatic with a delightfully dry herbaceous and citrus aroma. Thyme and sage dominate, but it has underlying, lingering delicate flavours of lemon peel and lanolin. A full textured mouth feel leads to a crisp, refreshing finish in this gorgeous wine 45.00

2007 Surveyor Thomson, Pinot Noir, Cromwell, Central Otago
With silky, elegant texture and spiced, earthy flavours, the palate opens up to reveal soft, restrained tannins and subtle forest-floor nuances. Black cherry comes through along with gentle cedar and nutmeg 50.00

2010 Peregrine, Pinot Noir, Cromwell Basin and Gibbston, Central Otago
Fresh and vibrant herb and raspberry flavours with a strong and elegant finish. A Providores favourite 72.00

2007 Pyramid Valley, Cabernet Franc, Howell Vineyard, Bridge Pa, Hawkes Bay
Dry with perfumed black fruits layered with cloves, bramble characteristics and olives. A delicate finish with fine and concise tannins 105.00

2008 Margrain, Martinborough, Wairarapa
Botrytis Chenin Blanc
Rich and luscious tropical fruits with a hint of frangipani and lush dried apricots. Butterscotch and ginger nuances give a wonderfully complexity and elegance 55.00
