Premium New Zealand wine by the glass
The Providores Restaurant and Tapa Room has one of the largest lists of premium New Zealand wines in Europe. But until now, we've been unable to offer you some of New Zealand's top end wines by the glass, due to the short shelf life of an opened bottle.

After much research, we have chosen the Wine Saver Pro preserving system. This relies on the properties of Argon gas (three times heavier than air) sealing the wine in the opened bottle to prevent oxidization. Argon is totally inert, 100% safe and has absolutely no effect on the quality of the wine itself. In fact, it's used for storage purposes in wineries all over the world.
We do hope you enjoy this selection of special wines by the glass. Jessica Peden, our bar manager, will be constantly changing them to allow you to sample some of New Zealand's best premium wines.

This wine is the creation of Nick Nobilo who hails from one of
New Zealand’s most lauded wine families. The Nobilo family sold their vineyards in 2000, which enabled Nick to pursue his lifelong passion – to produce one of the best Gewurztraminers in the world. By all accounts he is getting there, with Decanter magazine stating in 2005 that his inaugural vintage, which we list here, was the “Best New World White. … as good as top Alsace grand crus” Aromatic wild exotic fruit combined with spiced accents of nutmeg and vanilla, golden in colour with luscious aromas of lychee,
melon and scented honey. It has immense fruit-sweetness
accentuated by pineapple and mandarin, but with an off-dry finish.
