In late 1999 Peter Gordon was approached by Tarik Bayazit and Savas Ertunc from Istanbul as they wanted him to help set up the kitchen at their soon to be opened restaurant near Taksim in Istanbul – to be called changa. After visiting Istanbul Peter and Michael agreed to work with the dynamic duo. changa went on to be the most discussed restaurant in Turkey, winning international praise for both its food and design. In 2005 they opened their second restaurant müzedechanga – housed in the newly opened Sakip Sabanci art museum overlooking the Bosphorus.

On January 10th 2007, Wallpaper* magazine bestowed the title of Best New Restaurant in the World on müzedechanga at the Wallpaper* Design Awards.
 
Tarik and Savas are also investors in The Providores and Tapa Room.
